Gamma-Radiation CdZnTe Micro Spectrometer

DESCRIPTION

The μSPEC gamma-radiation micro spectrometer is a high performance device based on application of CdZnTe semiconductor detectors that operate at room temperature and MCA. The μSPEC allows measuring gamma-radiation spectra and storing it for processing in a PC through the USB port. In the spectrometer accepts three different detector modules equipped with quasi-hemispherical volumes of high quality CdZnTe of either 60 mm3, 500 mm3 or 1500 mm3.

The μSPEC is a fully self-sufficient device and consists of the detector, charge sensitive preamplifier, main amplifier, digital signals processor, high and low voltage power supplies and computer interface. It is powered from the computer USB.

Personal Radiation Detector

DESCRIPTION

Personal Radiation Detector (PRD) -Tracer Model GT2-1 is a portable hand-held device with an internal high-sensitive room temperature operated semiconductor CdZnTe detector. The PRD can be used as a dosimeter, for alarm activation through audible, visual and vibrating signals when exceeding preset alarm levels, for detecting and searching gamma-radiation sources.
The PRD -Tracer is an energy-compensated device allowing accurate evaluation of the dose rate and dose equivalent of the X-ray and gamma radiation. It automatically monitors environment and alerts user in case of the radiation thread. The device allows setup the alarm levels and updating background calibration for operation in changing radiation environments.
An intelligent search mode algorithm RiSearch™ provides a fast response time and allows detecting and locating low-intensity gamma-radiation sources.
The PRD -Tracer features a shock, dust and splash-proof case and LCD screen with backlight for operation in unfavourable environments conditions. It can be carried in the pocket or clipped to a belt.
Up to 3000 events and data samples can be recorded and stored in a non-volatile memory.
The PRD -Tracer can communicate with PC via USB port. It is equipped with rechargeable Li-ion batteries charged from the PC or external USB power supply. The user configuration software “GT 2-1 Configurator” allows settings parameters and transmit recorded data to a PC.
