(EN) Non magnetic breadboards are used where the Optical experiment setups to be built on top of the Breaboards are sensitive to magnetism. These special breadboards are constructed of 304 grade stainless steel on top and bottom part. This alloy of steel contains less iron than typical stainless steel, which reduces its ferromagnetic properties. The honeycomb structure is constructed from aluminium.

(EN) Honeycomb breadboards from Holmarc use magnetic stainless steel (SS410 series) as top skin. Core of the breadboard is honeycomb structure made from aluminium. Thickness of these breadboards generally vary between 60 mm and 100 mm. Honeycomb breadboards can be placed on any working tables to quickly build optical working surfaces which will add the convenience of tapped holes grid in addition to the rigidity and stability of honeycomb structure. These can as well be used to build extra elevated working surfaces on optical tables. With suitable angle brackets and clamps, vertical working surfaces can also be created.
