ALPHAE – Ultra-small Radon Monitor

Ultra-small continuous radon monitor
AlphaE is a versatile device for fast radon monitoring in buildings, outdoors or mines. Due to its light-weight and small dimensions, it can also perfectly be used to measure the personal radon exposure and to manage personal dose.
AlphaE is fast and accurate providing a first reliable measurement after 2 hours (faster response with higher radon levels). Low radon levels below 100 Bq/m³ (2.7 pCi/l) can be measured as specified by the latest World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations (12% uncertainty at 1 sigma/24 hours).
Up to 6 months battery life allows long-term measurement without mains power.
Permanent operations via mains supply are possible via USB port.
In addition to the radon concentration, the air temperature, pressure and humidity as well as the signals of the built-in tampering detector are simultaneously recorded, all accompanied by respective time stamps.

The new generation of AlphaGUARD offers high detection efficiency in radon monitoring, a wide measurement range (2 – 2 000 000 Bq/m³), fast response and permanent, maintenance-free operation with long-term stable calibration.
In addition to the radon concentration, AlphaGUARD simultaneously measures and records ambiant temperature, relative humidity and atmospheric pressure with embedded sensors. Optimal ergonomics, high responsiveness and a large digital display make AlphaGUARD a reference device to perform measurement and analysis everywhere from a lab to the field.

Multitasking two-step device

The HS-ABOMO unit is a multitasking two-step device designed for the detection and measurement of radioactive contamination, ALPHA, BETA and GAMMA, on potentially exposed personnel.

It has been specifically designed for controlled areas. It includes up to 31 detectors, which work autonomously and independently, allowing to perform simultaneous measurements with different alarm levels.

The user can identify exactly in a different channel the beta cps and gamma cps since the detectors are different for each type of radiation. Its operation is fully automated. The equipment has sensors that detect when a person enters the portal, interrupting the background acquisition and initiating automatically a thorough examination of the subject.
